PUBG Mobile Achieves $5 Billion in Earnings, with an Average of $7.4 Million Dly Revenue in 2020

Tencent's Lightspeed Quantum Studio's PUBG Mobile has reached a milestone of $5.1 billion from total player sping since its inception, with 2020 alone accounting for $2.7 billion of this figure, as revealed by Sensor Tower Store Intelligence data.

When we factor in the revenue by Game For Peacethe localized version of PUBG Mobile in Chinathe game has amassed approximately $704 million quarterly between Q1 and Q3 of 2020 on average. In Q4 alone, the title continued to perform impressively with $555 million in player sping. The most lucrative quarter for PUBG Mobile in 2021 so far is expected to be Q1, with $709 million already amassed in player sping.

In detl, PUBG Mobile was a significant revenue driver during the global COVID-19 pandemic last year. It registered an all-time high of $300 million player sping in March when global lockdowns were at their peak. The game mntned its impressive performance throughout 2020 with an average dly revenue reaching $7.4 million.

China emerged as the most lucrative market for PUBG Mobile, driven by Game For Peace, which has collected $2.8 billion, representing a staggering 55.4 of total iOS revenue the analysis excludes revenue from third-party Android stores. Meanwhile, in terms of international markets outside China, the United States was ranked second with $12.7 of total revenue and Japan came in at No. 3 with $4.8.

The Apple App Store dominated player sping, accounting for 81.6 of total revenue worldwide excluding China. Google Play's share stood at 18.4. However, outside of China, the App Store contributed to 58.6 of total revenue whereas Google Play represented 41.4.
